Radar System

Radar Systems

A radar system (short for Radio Detection and Ranging) is a technology that uses radio waves to detect, track, and identify objects at a distance. It’s widely used in military, aviation, weather monitoring, automotive, and maritime applications.

How Radar Works – Basic Process
  1. The radar sends out a short burst of radio waves.

  2. These waves travel through the air at the speed of light.

  3. When they hit an object, they bounce back.

  4. The radar receiver picks up the reflected waves.

  5. The time delay and frequency shift help calculate:

    • Distance (based on time delay)

    • Speed (based on Doppler effect)

    • Angle (based on antenna orientation)
