Battlefield Pulse Radar

Battlefield Pulse Radar

The ASHWINI2-PL12G10K series radars, which are Long-range battlefield surveillance radars, are adopted to watch ground (or sea) objects (personnel, vehicles or group of them) in all weather conditions, day or night. They are normally tripod mounted but, if need be, can also be installed on a vehicle.

The ASHWINI2-PL12G10K is very easy to use; easy to install, easy to manipulate on the screen and also easy to maintain..

They can provide an excellent ECCM performance against hostile jammers. These radars can also be mated with electro-optical and thermal imaging sensors for surveillance applications, which results in an enhancement of their ECCM capabilities.

The targets’ information can be displayed on PPI scope with their identifications (walking persons, running persons, vehicles, etc.), and the headset can make you also specify their features by their peculiar sound. The ASHWINI2-PL12G10K uses data inks such as a RS422 and Ethemet, a wireless network. Especially IP-based network connections make it possible to collaborate with other surveillance equipments like: CCD cameras, TV cameras, etc.

These two-man-pack radars can conduct an excellent detection ability of all kinds of ground (or sea) moving targets. You are lucky to have these radars in an adverse weather or a dark night, at which other optical equipments are not useful.

Radar Configuration

Atypical ASHWIN 2-PL12G 10K series radar is composed of a main body (a transceiver and an antenna, a rotating unit), a tripod, a remote control & display unit (Laptop, Computer), a headset, a GPS antenna and Wi-Fi antenna, an Ethemet Cable, a rechargeable Ithium-ion battery and a power supply unit (AC to DC Converter)

User Interface

The User interface is composed of Target Display Part, Status Bar and Control Panel in addition, it also has Data Link Setting Dialog and Log File Open Dialog.

Here, you can see the target information and others, induding the range and azimuth grid line, antenna bearing line, cursor, coordinates of the current target, date and time. The targets are represented with different shapes according to View Mode. In “All in View moce and “Motion View mode, the target is represented as dot, and in “Detection View” mode, as “o”

Target Identification

In the “Scan” mode, it is capable of identifying the targets in real time, which is calied target classification. However, this kind of identification method would be poor in the reliability, because of using the short-time Doppler signals from the targets during the dwell interval. In the “Track” mode, you can make a reliable identification of the targets by listening their Doppler audio signals on the headset.

  • To put the tracker onto the target to be identified, please you move the mouse pointer to the target and then dick on it. The mouse pointer on the screen hasits coordinates shown on the right sice.
  • If you switch into the “Track” mode, the antenna will track onto the target to be identified.
  • In the zooming in the specific area, you can pinpoint the target by the tracker and locate itto get a clear Doppler audio signal from the target. In order to control the volume of the audio signa, please you can increase or decrease the Sound”
  • The tone of that Doppler audio signal makes it easy to identify the target
  • If you point the other target, the antenna can track it immediately.

Monotonous high frequency (1000~1700Hz) sound
Fast moving vehicle (40-90km/h)
Intermittent low lone signal (sound as walking on the dry log!
Pedestrian
Intermittent mid-tone signal (similar to the case (5), but higher in freq.)
